Nanchang Municipal Key Laboratory of Intelligent Awareness and Application of Water Information
The Laboratory of Water Information Inttellisense and Application of NIT was successfully approved to be Nanchang Municipal key laboratory in 2014. The laboratory director is Sun Hui, professor, master supervisor, young and middle aged academic leader of Jiangxi Province., a famous teacher of Jiangxi Province. The Laboratory now has 13 professors, 16 associate professors, 26 PhDs, 3 PhD candidates, 13 master supervisors, 1 expert enjoying special allowance of the State Council, 1 leading talent candidate for provincial “Ganpo elite 555 talent project”, 3 academic leaders of provincial higher institutions and 10 other kinds of talents.
The Laboratory is mainly engaged in scientific research and talent cultivation in such orientations as multi-source, heterogeneous water information intellisense, data assimilation and intelligent information processing, water information application based on GIS, and etc. In recent years, members of the Laboratory have presided over more than 100 state, provincial and ministerial level projects, including 17 national natural science foundation projects, 1 project of Ministry of Education, 3 science and technology landing projects of higher institutions in Jiangxi, 16 Jiangxi natural sciences foundation projects, 22 Jiangxi major R&D plans, science and technology support, science and technology development and industrialization plan projects, over 40 other projects like science and technology projects of Jiangxi Provincial Education Department, achieving total funds of more than 10 million yuan of vertical projects and over 2.4 million yuan of horizontal projects; obtained over 10 provincial and ministerial level awards, including 1 second prize and 1 third prize for science and technology progress in Jiangxi; published over 80 papers in core journals like CSCD and above, including 24 SCI retrieval ones and over 40 EI retrieval ones; obtained 36 patent licensing, 68 software copyright.
